"It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Ge 2:18

Often we hold on to past hurts. Instead of forgiveness, we are tempted with bitterness and anger.  Instead of extending grace, we often judge and demand some kind of retribution for the injury that was given to us.  When we do that, instead of experiencing freedom in Christ, we become bound to that pain and interestingly enough, we will then extend pain to others. 

The goodnews of the Genesis 3 account and the gospel is that God provided.  In terms of a promise, we read in Genesis 3:15 that ultimately a man would be born from the woman who would “crush or bruise Satan’s head.”  And we know Jesus, born of a woman, did just that when He went to the cross.
