• Matthew 6:33 tells us if "we seek God's kingdom first and its righteousness all these things will be added unto us."  There is a promise here by Jesus that as we put God first, then what we need financially, physically, relationally and all other areas we tend to fret and be anxious will be added by God Himself.

  • Mary’s Song in Luke 1:46-56 is the strength she drew from understanding God’s purpose for her life as the mother of the Savior of the world.  “From now on…” Mary declared in Luke 1:48, “all generations will call me blessed.”  She understood that despite the challenge of explaining the impossible, a virgin birth, that God’s purpose was greater than her dilemma.

  • There is one quality in this long list of fruits in Colossians 3 that should also be part of a believer’s life, and that is thanksgiving.   So important is this quality that Paul mentions it three times in vs. 15-17.   As we “let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, be thankful,” as we “let the word of Christ dwell in us richly through teaching and admonishment…  “Let us give thanks in hearts to God,” with singing and praise.
